For this layout I used papers from American Crafts Maggie Holmes collection and I didn't have any full 12x12 pieces so I used my circle punch to cut from my remaining scraps. When I started creating this layout I didn't have my picture picked out yet but I knew I wanted to do some stitching and so that was my starting point. Once I punched out all the circles I realized I didn't have enough to cover the background so I decided to cut them half. Originally I was going to stitch around the circles but this worked out even better because I'm not all that great at stitching circles lol. With this design I went for more of a banner look that allowed me to straight stitch. I absolutely love the way it turned out!
After that I was in the mood for some more banners. I used another one of Maggie Holmes light blue sheets of paper along with some craft cardstock and cut little banner pieces. I finished it off by using some alphabet stamps and twine. The rest was pretty simple after that. I added a cute little blue bird to the twine, a little puffy house sticker since the party took place at my friends house and I even added a clear Saturday word sticker over the flower since the party did actually take place on a Saturday.
I really enjoyed making this layout and was happy I used one of my punches and sewing machine! If you have any questions let me know in the comments and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
