For Christmas this year one of the little gifts I gave were Starbucks gift cards. When I purchased the gift cards they were actually out of the gift card envelopes which gave me a great idea to create my own! I created these gift card envelopes using vellum paper, a 1 inch circle punch and the Heidi Swapp Oh What Fun art screen stencils, oh ya and red paint. I measured the gift cards and cut the vellum accordingly. I used a small piece of tape to close up the end and then used the stencil and red paint to create the focal point. The backing of the Heidi Swapp art screen stencils are sticky so they stay in place easily. To finish them off I cut a half circle in the top to easily slip in and out the gift card. Instead of using tape you could also stitch along the edges but if you do be sure to account for the extra space you will need. I hope this gave you some ideas for what you can create this holiday season. Until next time, stay scrappy.
