This was a fun very simple layout to make using the packing technique. I didn’t know where this layout would take me so I prepped the white cardstock with a layer of gesso. Next I looked through my supplies to find some paint or inks I had that would go well with my picture. I settled on Tim Holtz distress ink in victorian velvet and peacock feathers. I applied the color by rubbing the ink pad on plastic packaging and sprayed it with a lot of water, then I quickly and very carefully flipped it over and rubbed it into the cardstock with my fingers over the plastic. This technique is a lot of fun but make sure you have paper towels on hand! To add additional splatters I rolled a paint brush around in the ink and water mixture and tapped it over my finger.
The rest of the layout I kept very simple and clean. The circles I cut out from a 6x6 pad of paper and the other bits are from the embellishment stash sitting on my desk.
